- Lune Space Station is not a recreational location, the LSS needs intake and security clearance to pass the hangar (trade/pirating is encouraged RP.)
Remember, you start with almost nothing. Your character will have ONLY whatever clothing and reasonable items on their person at the time of being struck by the spell. The station will provide a basic space suit, bare basic tools, simple food rations (served only in the kitchen, and closely tracked), greatly limited knowledge of the station’s technology, and the lowest grades of weapons. Everything else must be obtained through RP. The only exceptions are those based around character backstory and have been pre-approved by an admin.
What is the dress code on the LSS?
You will be given a basic space suit during intake. Advanced suits can be acquired through successful RP quests or missions.
Can I have a powerful blaster with unlimited ammo?
Sure, once you’ve earned it through RP, but not at the beginning of your story on the LSS. All armaments are confiscated at intake for the security of the station.
What is the technological status of the LSS?
The station itself is greatly advanced. It was originally built centuries into the future from present day settings. The crew’s knowledge is not on par with the tech. The station is beyond conceptualization of modern techies and uses entire platforms and coding languages that will take a great deal of time and effort to simply learn, let alone master. It is the equivalent of a caveman with an iPhone. Unless your character has a background in such updated tech, your level of modern understanding will be nearly useless. Opportunities to learn the technology will be presented.
Can I start with a robot pet?
No! You can eventually acquire one by either building it or finding it through RP, but only if you have learned that technology.
What year and location is the LSS set?
We don’t know. All we know is that some of the screens show nearby planets and what is assumed to be other spacecraft. Some moving, some not. Some can be seen by the naked eye through various station windows. Part of the storyline will be figuring out when and where we are, what happened to the previous crew, and why we were brought here.
What condition is the LSS currently in?
“She’s dead, Jim.” Or near enough to it. The station has been abandoned for an unknown amount of time. It has fallen into great levels of disrepair. Even the life support systems are beginning to fail. Entire connecting corridors could break off without repair. Despite the pristine appearance, the station is in dire condition.
But, I really like cupcakes and I have the munchies all the time! Are there snacks?
Food is extremely limited, and there may not be enough to get us through the next month. Until the station develops the means to provide extra food, all you will be granted is a dehydrated ration meal such as NASA and other current space organizations utilize. These will be issued in the kitchen twice daily (breakfast and dinner). Otherwise, you are limited to whatever your character might have had on their person upon arrival.
Where’s the booze and weed?
Unless you have the ability and ingredients to brew up a batch of beer, ale, or mead… you’re out of luck. Food is more important than marijuana, and as such, the garden will begin with food planting. Perhaps later down the line something can be done… or maybe you’ll even luck out with a quest reward and have the means to grow your own weed. For now, sorry
What sort of health issues might my character be put through?
Beyond the potential life support systems failures, starvation, standard space-related hazards, and the possibility of being murdered by an alien, crewmate, or raiding pirate/scavenger… strange viruses and exposure to germs that our modern immune systems are not strengthened against are a real threat.
I can be Space Dog Quintillionaire?
Uhhh, no. Money is an outdated system on the station. Barter, work and trades are the only methods of transactions available. As we progress, these trades and systems will be advanced. However, please bear in mind that earthly currency has no value in space.
